Cooley Dickinson Hospital's Childbirth Center offers a variety of services to support breastfeeding moms and their families. Services are provided by International Board-Certified Lactation Consultants. Read about an award our lactation team received.

Breastfeeding Basics Class:
Learn the basics of breastfeeding and what to expect from your breastfed baby. Get off to a good start. Enroll today!

Outpatient Breastfeeding Support Clinic:
A free-drop-in service held weekly on Thursdays from 11:30 am - 12:30 pm in the lactation office outside of the Childbirth Center. Weigh your baby, and receive one-on-one support from a certified lactation consultant. You'll be with other new moms who are experiencing the same joys and challenges. Learn together in a group setting.

Individual Lactation Consultations are also available seven days a week. Your insurance company will be billed and referrals are not required. To schedule an appointment, call (413) 582-2096.

Breastfeeding Pumps and Supplies

Pump rentals: Hospital-grade breast pumps by Medela can be rented by the day or by the month. Pump kits are also for sale.

Additional products inlcude Medela personal-use pumps, pump kits, individual replacement supplies for the Medela products as well as supplemental nursing systems, nipple shields, and breast milk storage bags.
