The Henry Shepherd Surgery wing opened in 1904 following a gift from Thomas M. Shepherd in memory of his father.

$500-$999: McCallum Society

The McCallum Nurses Home and Training School, made possible by a gift from the McCallum family in memory of Alexander McCallum, provided nursing education to over 900 nurses.

$1,000-$2,500: 1886 Society

Cooley Dickinson Hospital opened its doors on New Year's Day in 1886.

$2,500 - $4,999: Castle Society

Miss Eva Castle, the first matron, was responsible for patients and facility upkeep.

$5,000-$9,999: Dakin Society

In honor of community leader Winthrop S. Dakin's commitment to Cooley Dickinson Hospital.

$10,000+: Merzbach Society

In honor of Dr. Peter Merzbach, who delivered more than 10,000babies at Cooley Dickinson Hospital.
