AIDS CARE/Hampshire County was formed in July 1991 to respond to the growing epidemic in our community. AIDS CARE/Hampshire County is a program of the Behavioral Health Services of Cooley Dickinson Hospital.
AIDS CARE/Hampshire County provides case management and comprehensive support services to people living with HIV infection, their families and friends.
AIDS CARE/Hampshire County is the lead agency for a consortium of community agencies and individuals, including a Consumer Advisory Board, who care about people living with HIV. The Consortium provides support and guidance to the program. Anyone interested in joining should call the Director of AIDS CARE/Hampshire County at 586-8288.
We are funded through a variety of sources, including:
- The federal Ryan White CARE Act, in conjunction with the Massachusetts Department of Public Health
- Friends of AIDS CARE/Hampshire County, a volunteer fundraising group.
- Individual donations (which are tax-deductible).
