Dr. Sean Dacus joins South Deerfield Family Practice

Primary care appointments for people of all ages are available for residents of Southern Franklin County

SOUTH DEERFIELD – Effective Thursday, July 31, Dr. Sean Dacus joins South Deerfield Family Practice (SDFP) and certified family nurse practitioner Gail Blanchard in providing primary care medicine for infants through seniors. Dacus, who grew up in Conway, returns to the area after receiving his medical degree from the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his family practice residency at the University of Massachusetts Medical School.

Dacus and Blanchard, a certified family nurse practitioner, are dedicated to providing family-focused care in a community setting. They work collaboratively to provide preventative and primary care services to family members of all ages, infants through seniors.

Blanchard has been a practicing nurse for 34 years and has been a certified nurse practitioner for 10 years. Her scope of practice is comprehensive and includes check-ups of newborns and children, women’s care, preventive health for all ages, sick visits and treatment of minor injuries.

Dacus and Blanchard see patients at their office located at 21 B Elm Street. Onsite lab and physical therapy services are also available. Dacus replaces Dr. Kim Bruce Abell, SDFP’s physician since 2001, who left the area in 2007. New patients are welcome and most insurance plans are accepted. Same-day appointments are available.
