Biography
In 1978, I began a solo practice of what was to become Northampton Area Pediatrics. I was fortunate to be joined in the early years of practice by Dr. Robert Bissell and Dr. Catherine Bartlett. Our medical group has continued to grow with additional excellent pediatricians and dedicated nurse practitioners joining us over the years.
In today’s world, much can be done to assure that children thrive to develop full and healthy lives. I enjoy keeping abreast of the latest medical developments with a focus on utilizing technology to give the best possible care to the children we serve. In this regard, I speak frequently to national and local audiences advocating for the use of electronic medical records. I also serve on the Pediatric Council of the Massachusetts Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics, and as a delegate from the Hampshire District Medical Society to the Massachusetts Medical Society.
I have particularly enjoyed becoming a grandparent and spending time with our wonderful grandchildren. In a similar way, I also very much enjoy working as a senior pediatrician with young families. In both roles it is the perspective of time, the knowledge that things will usually turn out all right, that I hope is a help to all the parents, children, and grandchildren that we serve.
