NORTHAMTON, Mass. – On Sunday, Nov. 20 at 4:30 p.m., community members are invited to Cooley Dickinson Hospital’s main entrance to participate in the 13th annual Trees of Love & Thanksgiving tree lighting ceremony. At this festive event, 2,000 lights will be lit. Music will be provided by the Green Street Brew and the Horse Mountain Jazz Band; refreshments will be available.
Proceeds from last year’s fundraiser funded the purchase of 10 infant car beds for underweight newborns.
This year’s campaign will go toward projects including a chemotherapy chair for the new Cancer Care Center; a specialty mattress for the Cardiovascular Suite; a “Neo-Puff” for the Childbirth Center, equipment that helps infants in respiratory distress; and a privacy screen for the hospital’s chapel relocation project.
The Trees of Love & Thanksgiving project is sponsored by the Pastoral Care Committee and the CDH Auxiliary. Donor forms are available at all hospital information desks and in the Pastoral Care office.
