Each thanksgiving season, a time of sharing and remembering, the Cooley Dickinson Hospital Auxiliary and Pastoral Care Committee invite you to participate in the annual Trees of Love & Thanksgiving project. This year is the 16th anniversary of the Trees of Love & Thanksgiving.
By purchasing a light in honor or in memory of someone meaningful to you, you show appreciation and pay tribute to this special person or group of people. The lights illuminate the trees in the hospital’s Healing Garden from late fall into the New Year.
For each person you wish to honor, a gift of $15 will brighten those lights. Download the Trees of Love & Thanksgiving form.
The person or family honored will be notified of your donation. The name of both the donor and the honoree will be posted on the Trees of Love board in the hallway across from Cooley Dickinson Hospital's main staircase and in the Cooley Dickinson Hospital chapel.
Funds raised through this year's Trees of Love will provide infant car beds, which ensure safe transporation for underweight babies. Contributions will also help furnish pediatric rooms in the Emergency Department to provide a comfortable, calming atmosphere for children and their families. Previous Trees of Love campaigns have funded 3D Mammography/breast tomosynthesis and infant car beds.
You are invited to attend the Lighting Ceremony and Reception, Sunday, Nov. 22, 4:30 pm, in the Healing Garden. The reception will be held immediately following the lighting ceremony in the Kittredge Surgery Center waiting area.
