About Our Program
Balancing Mind, Body and Spirit
CDH staff provide therapeutic services for community members, inpatients and staff (employees, volunteers and physicians), in areas including oncology, palliative care, cardiology, chronic disease, women’s health, behavioral health, physical rehabilitation, surgery and general well-being. The center offers:
- Acupuncture: An ancient Chinese healing art that stimulates specific points in the body in order to restore the proper flow and balance of mind-body energy.
- Aromatherapy, using therapeutic touch: The use of 100 percent essential oils obtained from aromatic plants applied with therapeutic touch to facilitate and promote health and well-being.
- Healing Music: The highly skilled delivery of live music, such as harp, for creating a peaceful and calm environment for the purpose of comfort and healing mind and spirit.
- Healing Touch: Clears and balances the energy system through gentle touch.
- Peggy Huddleston’s Prepare For Surgery, Heal Faster™. Mind-body techniques to: feel calmer before surgery, have less pain after surgery, strengthen the immune system and promote a faster recovery.
- Reiki: An ancient eastern technique of working to balance the energy in the body by means of a light touch tech- nique just on or above the physical body.
- Self-Hypnosis/Guided Imagery: Uses the power of the mind to visualize positive outcomes in order to over-come anxiety, reduce stress and promote pain relief.
- Therapeutic Massage/Prenatal and Postpartum Massage: The soft body tissues are manipulated for the purpose of affecting the muscular and nervous systems and the general circulation of the body to promote health and wellness.
- Therapy Dog Visits: Trained dogs provide comfort and good cheer. Scheduled times on West 3 and West 5. Some health restrictions apply. Please notify your nurse if interested in one of these free visits.

Credit or debit card payment is preferred, however, checks and cash payments can be accepted. Gift certificates are available. Tips are not expected or accepted. Receipts are available for any potential insurance reimbursement or flexible spending accounts.
